There is no airport on Skopelos so we recommend flying into Skiathos and transferring by boat from there. There are direct flights into Skiathos from London City, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Leeds Bradford, Stansted, Manchester, Newcastle and London Gatwick.

Mamma Mia, Here we go again..........
So hands up if you thought Mamma Mia was filmed on Skiathos. Well only a small part of it was and the iconic scene where Meryl Streep runs up the stairs to the church was actually filmed on Skopelos.
Although the island has definitely seen an increase in tourists since the film, it keeps its authenticity.
Simple food such as the traditional cheese and vegetable pie followed by some of the local plums and a glass of wine can be enjoyed after exploring the many paths on the island.
The same can be said for the island’s capital, Skopelos Town, which has over 360 churches and the ruins of a venetian castle to explore. The waterfront here bustles with life in the cafes and tavernas.
Take the bus or drive to Glossa, the most northern village on the island, which rests on the hill looking out towards Skiathos.
The best beach on the island is probably Panormos, located beside a peaceful village with a number of tavernas lining the waterfront.
Please be aware that due to flight and ferry timings, a stay overnight in Skiathos may be required in either direction.
