Cruising is without doubt an acquired taste – people say that you will either love it or hate it so a bit like Marmite.
Greece is an ideal market for cruise ships with many islands close to each other and loads of iconic sites so it is an excellent way to see some of the Greek islands however, especially if you have never been there before.
Most cruises tend to include Santorini and Mykonos as starters but Kefalonia, Milos, Rhodes, Crete, Patmos, Syros, Katakolon (gateway to Olympia) and Corfu are all regulars on cruise itineraries. Some of the cruises also take in Turkish, Italian or Croatian ports as well giving you plenty of choice when it comes to your destination.
We have access to all of the major cruise lines and it is important to take into account that you don’t necessarily choose the cruise line for its itinerary but look at how the cruise line will work best for you.
Do you like to dress up formally or do you prefer freestyle dining? Are you interested in the shore excursions or would you like to make your own way around?
Cabins are also an important choice – if you are going to be getting off at every stop on a cruise that stops daily is it important to have an outside cabin as opposed to someone who likes the comfort of the ship and prefers to view from afar.
