Scenery to die for.............
For an island with such amazing beaches, a scenic Chora and reasonable prices to be on a main ferry line from Piraeus, you would think that this would be a busy island. It's not.
Most visitors stay in Livadi and Livadakia, which are in the bays next to each other and only 10 minutes walk apart. They have all of the amenities you would expect in a main port with shops, a bank and choice of tavernas (some with the all important tables on the sand).
There is a local bus which runs to Chora and in the summer months to some of the other beaches on the island but we would recommend a car hire to see more of the island. The Chora sits above Livadia, looking down from its rocky outcrop. It is a stereotypical Cycladic chora with the whitewashed houses, colourful shutters, narrow lanes and a square with tavernas and cafe's covered with a splash of bougainvillea. The views however are definitely it's main attraction.
In total there are 60 beaches to explore on Serifos, the majority of them sandy and many with natural shade. Indeed Psili Ammos was once picked by the Sunday Times as Europe's beach of the year. Liking the look of Serifos? Read our blog article Discover Serifos & Its Beautiful Beaches
Please be aware that due to ferry and flight timings, a stay overnight in Athens may be required in either direction.

Happy People
The team have booked three very different holidays for me, two for a couple and one for a group of nine. They listened to our requirements and used their expert knowledge of Greece to provide us with several options from which to choose. I found them to be very professional, nothing is too much trouble and they strive to find a good deal. I would not hesitate to recommend them. The business booked me a few different holidays ranging from 2 weeks away in the sun to City Breaks. They have a great knowledge and understanding of your needs and requirements when booking a holiday. They always try to accommodate your budget and work extremely hard to get you what you're asking for. They have an extremely good knowledge of the Greek Islands and never fail when recommending specific places. I would always recommend the team as they are helpful and professional at all times. |
Fantastic service. I explained what kind of holiday I was looking for and my budget and they came up with different options to choose from. Nothing was too much trouble and the communication was first class. I would definitely recommend and would not hesitate in using this 5 star service again.
