How to get to Samothraki
Flights
There is no airport on Samothraki so we recommend you fly to Athens, connect into Alexandrouplis and then take the ferry. Alternatively fly into Thessaloniki or Kavala, drive to Alexandroupolis and take the ferry. You could potentially fly into Lemnos and take the ferry from there but it is only 3 times a week.

Ferries run daily from Alexandroupolis to Samothraki. The service continues onto Lemnos 3 times per week. We will advise of the best connections at the time of booking.

Think you know all there is to know about the Greek Islands? Think again, but come to Samothraki first and then let us know your answer.
This island will completely change your perception, partly because it is not easy to get there. Its two flights and a ferry – minimum.
That however is part of its beauty. It is so removed from all of the other islands that tourism has taken an alternative route.
Nature is part of the islands strongpoint, it is a Natura 2000 protected area. Dense forests, wetlands, pristine beaches, the Aegean’s highest mountain and the ‘vathres’ (pools formed by streams and waterfalls which you can swim in) mean there is something to see at every turn.
The medieval castle, cobbled streets, stone houses and easy going dining of the Chora are a true delight.
Most of the amenities are located in Kamariotissa, where the ferry dock and the fishing fleet brings in the fresh daily catch.
Make sure you don’t miss it and go and see Samothraki before someone else does!
