An aegean airlines plane flying over an island
Flights to Leros
Leros has a small airport which is linked only with Athens, Kos, Kalymnos, Rhodes and Astypalaia with limited flights so we recommend flying into Kos and transferring by boat from there. Kos has direct flights from London Gatwick, London Heathrow, Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Stansted, Newcastle, Liverpool, Belfast International and Doncaster Sheffield.

What is this island hiding?..........

Leros was an island which really surprised us. The guidebooks don’t really praise it much and yet it had something about it.

You can get to Leros either through Athens or Kos and the journey is not bad at all. The airport is at the north of the island and as you make your way down through the villages it is an attractive place.

If you arrive by ferry, it depends on which company you are sailing by where you will land. The big ferries come into Lakki which is a strange place, strung out along the coastline.

Smaller ferries arrive into Agia Marina, which combined with Platanos and Panteli make the main town on the island.

Panteli is a small bay with wonderful tavernas, a couple of bars and mini markets.

Platanos is the old capital of the island and has many preserved houses in the traditional style.

Its worth hiring a car as there are some good beaches, an old WW2 museum where you go into the tunnels underground and some nice tavernas dotted around the island.

Please be aware that due to ferry timings, a stay overnight in Kos may be required in either direction.

Happy People

The team have booked three very different holidays for me, two for a couple and one for a group of nine. They listened to our requirements and used their expert knowledge of Greece to provide us with several options from which to choose. I found them to be very professional, nothing is too much trouble and they strive to find a good deal. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

The business booked me a few different holidays ranging from 2 weeks away in the sun to City Breaks. They have a great knowledge and understanding of your needs and requirements when booking a holiday. They always try to accommodate your budget and work extremely hard to get you what you're asking for. They have an extremely good knowledge of the Greek Islands and never fail when recommending specific places. I would always recommend the team as they are helpful and professional at all times.
