Holidays to Kalymnos
How to get to Kalymnos
Flights
Kalymnos has a small airport which is linked only with Athens, Kos, Leros, Rhodes and Astypalaia with limited flights so we recommend flying into Kos and transferring by boat from there. Kos has direct flights from London Gatwick, London Heathrow, Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Stansted, Newcastle, Liverpool, Belfast International and Doncaster Sheffield.

The active island..........
A short boat ride away from Kos, the friendly island of Kalymnos has much to offer within its 21km length.
Once famous for its sponge-divers, the island enjoyed package holiday success in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Both of these activities have declined and so the island had to reinvent itself. Kalymnos now is well know for its rock-climbing, scuba diving and activity holidays.
The main town of Pothia, is a large town with a very working Greek atmosphere. The narrow streets wind their way up the hill from the port and hidden amongst them are neoclassical mansions, one of which you can even stay in. There is also an open-air cinema and excursion boats in the summer to other islands such as Pserimos and Alikarnassos.
On the west coast of the island are Massouri and Myrties, two low key resorts with a nice selection of tavernas, cafes, bars and shops.
A small ferry goes from Myrties across to the island of Telendos, which has a few classic tavernas and 4 wonderful beaches.
Please be aware that due to flight and ferry timings, a stay overnight in Kos may be required in either direction.

Happy People
Just to say thank you to all your staff for booking us a good holiday. The team have booked three very different holidays for me, two for a couple and one for a group of nine. They listened to our requirements and used their expert knowledge of Greece to provide us with several options from which to choose. I found them to be very professional, nothing is too much trouble and they strive to find a good deal. I would not hesitate to recommend them. The business has booked me a few different holidays ranging from 2 weeks away in the sun to City Breaks. They have a great knowledge and understanding of your needs and requirements when booking a holiday. They always try to accommodate your budget and work extremely hard to get you what you're asking for. They have an extremely good knowledge of the Greek Islands and never fail when recommending specific places. I would always recommend the team as they are helpful and professional at all times. |
