Ferries
Corfu is linked with Igoumenitsa on the Greek mainland with at least 7 ferries per day. Corfu also has links to Paxos and Italy on the ferry network.

A good old favourite
The island of the Durrell's, Corfu has been a favourite with British holidaymakers for decades. Whether you are a party animal or a history buff, Corfu is the island which offers something for everyone.
Having been ruled over by the Romans, Venetian's, French and English before unification with Greece, the island has influences from all of these which is part of its appeal.
The north coast of the island has a string of resorts to choose from ranging from the beauty of Paleokastritsa to the popular spots of Sidari and Kassiopi and quieter villages such as Kalami.
The southern part of the island is less mountainous than the north and is also more varied. There are still the typical package holiday resorts such as Benitses along with Myrtiotissa, which was once described as the world's most beautiful beach. We do recommend car hire to get the best out of a visit to Southern Corfu.
Corfu Town itself is an eclective mix of Venetian architecture with some unusual remnants of British rule, in the form of the cricket pitch in the middle of the town, which is surrounded by cafe's serving the local Tsitsibira, or Ginger Beer.
