There is no airport on Agistri so we recommend flying into Athens and transferring by boat from there. Athens Airport has direct flights from London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Newcastle, Luton, Edinburgh and Stansted.

Due a renaissance?..........
Agistri was another one of those islands which featured in UK brochures back in the late 80’s and early 90’s, which died away when the new airport in Athens opened.
At only 55 minutes from Piraeus, its only 13 square kilometres and over 80% of it is pine covered.
Being so small there are only 3 settlements on the island, all linked by bus. Skala is the most popular with its sandy beach and wide choice of tavernas, cafes and shops.
As we are sure you will understand, being so close to Athens means that in the summer months it gets busy quickly.
Despite this, the island remains excellent value for money with reasonable prices. Add this to friendly, laid back locals and it becomes somewhere very appealing.
With its close proximity to the mainland, there are a huge variety of day trips to be had and Aegina is also close by (only 10 minutes by sea-taxi or hydrofoil).
The sea is also very turquoise in its colour and it is said the bay of Aponisi is Caribbean like.
Please be aware that due to ferry and flight timings, a stay overnight in Athens may be required in either direction.
